I have often admitted that, in terms of sheer travel experience, the Netherlands is my favorite country. It is small, compact and ensures smooth internal travel in every way possible. I have been to the country for work occasionally, and I have also been on vacation to this beautiful country a number of times.

Besides visiting the four largest cities in the Netherlands — Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht — I have also made my way through to many little towns in the country that aren’t as touristy yet are some of the most beautiful. Alkmaar, Almelo, Appeldoorn, Arnhem, Bloemendaal, Breda, Groningen, Haarlem, Maarken, Maastricht, Nijmegen, Zaandvoort… it is a pretty long list, to be very honest.

There are lots of things about the Netherlands that I simply adore, and it is precisely this aspect that makes me go to that country again and again. It is by far the country that I have visited the most, so much so that every time I go now, I look for places I have yet to visit. It is also a fact that, while I have been to a lot of places in the Netherlands, there are still quite a few that I have yet to visit.
