Writing is a detox. Penning down my thoughts following a day’s hard work is a great means to de-stress and rejuvenate the mind. Having said that, writing also ensures a rollercoaster of emotions.
A few narratives that ensure absolute creative satisfaction to a writer end up not performing as per expectations. On the contrary, other articles that required minimal research, and were a cakewalk for the writer as regards the execution aspect, strike a chord with the readers and tend to exceed expectations.
No one can actually predict how a published draft will eventually perform. Of course, it also depends a lot on how it gets promoted and if enough effort is put by the publishers to ensure a writer’s effort doesn’t go to waste. Broadly speaking, instances of a narrative ensuring creative satisfaction to its creator and also getting appreciation from the readers is rare.
