Nice read David, but IMO you miss out on an important point. It is the systematic cultural overhaul. Maybe, it is deliberate. So, please don't take it otherwise.

But in multiple recent visits to France I have seen the so-called French culture being significantly affected by the hordes of immigrants from diametrically different cultural setups that have been allowed in.

Women from another religion begging outside churches, languages other than French being randomly spoken and a clear disssrespect of inherent French values is becoming more apparent.

France seems more like a country of the MENA region these days than Western Europe. Again, this is my observation.
