I have seldom hesitated in admitting that, in terms of travel experience, the Netherlands is one of my favorite countries. It is small and compact, and it ensures smooth internal travel in every way possible. I have visited the Netherlands for work occasionally, and I have also been on vacation to this beautiful country a number of times.

This year, I have already made two trips to the Netherlands, and I am planning a third. In 2023, I went twice as well. Multiple visits have meant that besides visiting the four largest cities — Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Utrecht — I have also made my way through many little towns in the country that aren’t as touristy yet are some of the most beautiful.

Alkmaar, Almelo, Appeldoorn, Arnhem, Assen, Bedum, Bloemendaal, Breda, Delft, Delfzijl. Dordrecht, Gouda, Groningen, Haarlem, Leeuwarden, Leiden, Maarken, Nijmegen, Winschoten, Zaandvoort… it is a pretty long list, to be honest.
