It’s been a good year so far. The productivity has surpassed all my expectations. The appreciation coming my way has been very heartening. Most importantly, it’s been about continuation. It’s been about carrying on with the work. In fact, 2024 has ensured that the writer in me retains the consistency that was acquired in the last year.

In 2023, I managed to get the writer in me back on track. Having got into the groove in the previous year helped significantly when it comes to the continuation aspect. It was in 2021 that I restarted contributing to this platform, making submissions with a semblance of regularity. That being said, what I had achieved in 2021, in terms of the number of submissions, I managed to better that halfway through in 2022.

Before this current phase, which has been immensely productive, I was more often than not erratic. The continuity element was anything but conspicuous. There had never been this urgency to make a certain number of posts per month/year. It was meant to be a pass time or relaxation period, and that had precisely been the case.

However, in the last two years or so, I have been able to give more time to writing in general, and to this platform in particular. I believe I am a lot more…
